The couple running these studios are reasonably friendly, but they do favor people who tend to spend money with them. The rooms have been renovated and are spacious and clean. The bathrooms have not been renovated yet,but are due to be done in due course. We enjoyed our holiday but probably wouldn't go back.

When we arrived I have to say everything seemed fine, initially Makis and Katarina were pleasant and welcoming. Rooms recently renovated (except shower room, read on), new furniture though no stool for dressing table. I asked for extra pillows and Katarina obliged. There was a kettle provided and a fridge (more like a wine cooler). Now the shower room. Tiny and very very dated. The drain in the centre of room was sunken and had broken, sharp tiles around it. Each time either of us took a shower it was a constant battle with the flimsy shower curtain that invariably wanted to be stuck to backsides. It was either fight with the shower curtain or flood the floor. Drinks at the on-site bar were overpriced €3.80 a 500ml bottle of Mythos. Elsewhere €2.50-€3.50. We never ate there and only occasionally had a drink. I understand they need to make a living but customers are also on a budget. Not drinking or eating at the Marina didn't bode well with the owners they had more time for the all-day drinkers. Now then onto the all-day drinkers. On our second week there were 5 couples (not young'uns, 40+). They were partying until 4.30am very druñk and very loud. The "security guard" was completely ineffectual, hiding in a corner out of the way. I asked him if he could do his job and ask people to respect others. All he did was sheepishly ask them to turn down their music. They didn't/wouldn't. We had to be up at 6.30 for a trip to Albania. The day was ruined as we were so tired. Now, I'm very much not a killjoy but there were pensioners staying there too and they had to tolerate the bad language and rowdy behaviour from a handful of halfwits. The owner Makis thought it acceptable as it was his beer they were drunk on. Continental breakfast. Ha. This consisted of, per person, 2 slices of barely toasted bread the size and consistency of a soggy beermat, 1 slice of plastic cheese, 1 slice of the cheapest reconstituted ham, a small portion of jam, rank tea or coffee and the best thing a glass of fresh orange (with bits). No fruit, croissant. We were into our 2nd week when Thomas Cook, the iconic British tour operator sadly went to the wall. In a conversation with Makis the owner I said how unbelievable it was that they had gone bust with £1.5 billion in debts. Makis kindly informed me this was all the fault British holiday makers complaints and claims for compensation, the British always complain, laughable. Personally I don't complain, unless there is something to complain about. He also informed me he had received 98% this season's money from Thomas Cook. As that was the case there was absolutely no excuse for his neglect of guests on the last week of there holiday. He closed and opened the bar/cafe at will. He objected to guests consuming food and drinks around the pool bought from outside the appartments but people had little choice as the bar was closed. I found the owner somewhat arrogant in his attitude toward guests. Unless they were spending money with him. The pool was not tended to for a week and more resembled a dirty duck pond that a conservative MP would be able to claim on expenses to have cleaned. I half expected to find an old rusty Asda shopping trolley, a dead dog and frog spawn in it. There was half an inch of algae growth around the top of the waterline. Hence we had to pay for sun loungers at the beach for a week. There was no Greek night, as was advertised. And the cleaner forgot where our room was. Consequently it begs the question. WOULD I STAY HERE AGAIN? Answer. Not if my life depended on it, even if it was the last place on earth and I was paid to stay. Go at your own peril and find out yourself.

I must begin by saying that Makis and Katerina are excellent hosts. They are approachable and jovial and nothing is too much trouble for them. Whatever you need, just ask and they are happy to help you. We stayed here for two weeks and every day was enjoyable. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the room was cleaned regularly. Drinks were reasonably priced and the home cooked grill food was fantastic! We went to a Greek night there and Makis' Bouzouki playing skills are excellent, as is his singing voice. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend seeing for yourself how good a stay here can be. Reviews are so helpful but meet these good people and make up hour own mind. Thank you from Gary and Sara.

What can I say , the room was 2halves. Main bedroom was nice , however the shower and toilet facilities left a lot to be desired, only place I know where you can sit on the loo and shower at the same time , shower curtain about 2foot short . Hosts Katharine and Markus were friendly enough once you started to spend money, but everything was overpriced, it was cheaper to eat off the premises. Breakfast was the same everyday. 2 toast, ham , cheese slice ,tea orange juice. Not a particularly restful holiday when you have the owners son running around everywhere throwing a strop . Would not recommend.

First time in Corfu and the Marina, what a great holiday. Katrina and Makis were lovely hosts and very helpful when I needed to see a Doctor for an infected bite. Hotel lovely and small so got to know a lot of the other hotel guests. Always found the hotel to be clean and tidy. Yes there are more improvements to be done but this is an ongoing project and am sure Katrina and Makis will make this happen as soon as they can. Was close to everything you needed, beach and restaurants. Will definitely be going back in the future.
